Spider-Man joins the Avengers in 2021, but on PC and Xbox - it never will

Just as rumours have suggested, Marvel’s famous Spider-Man hero in the upcoming Avengers game will be exclusive to players with PlayStation consoles.

New arguments about exclusivity have started, only this time we are not talking about exclusive games, but about an exclusive character. Yesterday, a rumour surfaced that in the upcoming game Marvel’s Avengers, PlayStation console owners will have the right to exclusive access to an additional character - Spider-Man. It turned out later that this information was true. Spider-Man will indeed find itself in that game in early 2021 through a free update, and only on Sony consoles. Players on PC and Xbox will not be able to play with Spider-Man.

Judging by the previously announced additional character Hawkeye, the additional characters will have their own set of missions, which means that Sony’s exclusivity is not just in one class but in the whole game that will not be available on two platforms. The audience is therefore not the happiest, so you can read mostly negative reactions to this news on the Internet.

As for Spider-Man himself, it will be designed "old-fashioned" in Marvel's Avengers, according to the look from Steve Dick's drawing. But while his costume design will be old-fashioned, the technologies he will use will be modern and specially tailored for him by Hank Pym, Shield and Stark Industries. Like all other Avengers, Spider-Man will have its own unique upgrade skills, and the Crystal Dynamics development team says they have paid special attention to the fluidity of Spider-Man's movements.
