As of this month, the subscription services of the Electronic Arts publishing house will be renamed to a new, common name.
Subscriptions that we used to know under the names Origin Access (on PC) and EA Access (on consoles) from August 18 will no longer exist under those names. Instead of these two names, we will have only one on both consoles and PC - EA Play. There will still be an EA Play Pro on the PC that will replace the previous Origin Access Premier.
The name EA Play has so far been used for Electronic Arts conventions/trade fairs since the company seceded from the E3 trade show. These conventions will continue to be called so, with the addition of the term Live. So, the subscription services are EA Play, while EA Play Live is a presentation of the new games of this American company.
In addition to the name change, EA Play, unlike previous Access, will bring exclusive challenges and rewards. This means that in Fifi 21 or Star Wars: Squadrons, in addition to subscribing to EA Play, you will have additional benefits, such as bonus packages for the Ultimate Team or unique cosmetics for subscribers. Prizes will be distributed to subscribers every month, which means more rewards the longer the subscriber relationship.
